"The Adventures of Ashlie & EVE"

When the movie "WALL-E" came out in 2008, Ashlie was 5 years old, (10th Birthday July 24) and she was immediately fascinated by the girl robot named "EVE". ( A 6 inch plush EVE sold in the Disney Store for $5.99 at that time. )
Ash has been collecting "Plushies" since the day she was born. (With a little help from Grampa along the way) She has "Plush" characters from her favorite movies & TV shows, and an entire 'family' of Husky dogs she has named after the YouTube sensation, "Misha the talking Husky", (link below)
Last time we tried to count them all we stopped at 300 with at least another 100 under & alongside her bed. And, of course, if ONE plushie is good, 3 more of the same is better and SIX make a family!!
For every birthday, Christmas, Easter or other special occasion, when asked what she wanted, the answer was always "ANOTHER PLUSH EVE"!!! This wasn't a major problem until The Disney Store stopped carrying them and it was a mad scramble to Amazon and E-Bay. Along with trying to find plushies that don't even exist, I was always on the search for more EVES. There was the hand-made 'Rainbow Dash' I found in Japan, and when I lost the bid for 'Derpy Hooves' by $5.00 and five minutes, the nice lady in Russia hand-made one just for Ashlie, with Ashlie's name written on little tiny envelopes Derpy was carrying. And how much, you might ask, are "Special hand-made plushies"? Let me just say that Rainbow Dash was just 'under' $70.00...Derpy wasn't.
As the plush EVES became harder & harder to find, the prices kept climbing higher and higher and HIGHER. I do believe I have by now actually tracked down and purchased the only known original design plush EVE on the planet!! By the time Ashlie had SIX identical EVES, the last one was a 'bargain' at $39.95. (There were actually some people trying to get $150.00
for one. Thankfully I never got THAT bad...close..but not!
They came out with a slightly different plush EVE 3 years ago, and once I got Ashlie's OK that she liked this EVE too, for $4.99 apiece, I snapped up 6 of them right off the bat!!! I would be giving them to her, one or two at a time for a long time.
What I get a kick out of is the fact that since the day Ashlie saw the very first EVE on the shelf, that one has been her all-time, ultimate favorite. No matter which plushie is the favorite each week, there's EVE going with us for breakfast at Ihop, dinner at Benihana's, movies, bowling, Big Bear to the snow, there's EVE! You might think they are all identical, and to the 'untrained' eye, they do look alike. The "Girls", as she calls them, each has their own name written on a tiny little tag on their side. And they each have their own unique name..the original 6 are EVE, FIFI, FIFA, CORNY, POP & FOOF. We even took ALL the 'Girls' with us to Las Vegas 2 years ago.
